Message   I have yet to see Amelie, although I love the soundtrack. I stumbled onto Yann Tiersen quite by accident; I'm a fan of a band called Divine Comedy, the lead singer of which has worked with other artists, including Tiersen and Ute Lemper. Yann Tiersen is apparently from Malta, or so I've been told. I have not yet been able to obtain any of his earlier works -- a lot of it seems to be out of print!

Message   yep, but it was long ago, I also wish there was some way to find Zbigniew Rybczynski's video stuff in this country, ie videos he did for classical music, especially 'The Orchestra'.

Message   It depends what you would like to know. It's one of the most beautiful and moving soundtracks I've ever heard. I can't imagine this story without those sounds- it just fits in the movie. When I listen to this music, all the scenes from "Amelie" are alive in me. And the feelings and emotions I experienced watching the film. Sometimes you just listen to the music and you know it's YOURS- forever. Yann Tiersen- that's the name of the composer. When I watched "Amelie", I was thinking that this music was created especially for the film. I was very surprised when I discovered that some parts were Tiersen's earlier works. As I know, it's possible to buy it in Poland, so my life has some more sense now :-]. But remember- you must watch film FIRST!
