Zbigniew Preisner 2 December 2007 / 7.30pm Barbican Hall
Celebrated Polish Composer Zbigniew Preisner is best known for his evocative scores for Krzysztof Kieslowski's films. This concert will include a suite of his film themes that include music from Kieslowski’s seminal trilogy Three Colours; Blue, White Red and The Double Life of Veronique. Preisner conducts the London Symphony Orchestra who are renowned for their performances on film soundtracks.
The evening begins with the UK premiere of Preisner’s new work Silence, Night and Dreams, a large-scale piece for orchestra, chorus and soloists.
