I like the music of both Eleni Karaindrou and Rachel Portman. The first time I listened to the Suspended stroke OST,I fell in love with it.I like her style that gives a feeling of desolation, solemnity and also melodious, which is a eastern-European style. And also that calls listener back sometime. Then I bought all of her other albums. For enjoying her music so much that I began to see movie such as Eternity and A Day.I really appreciate the outstanding music composer. As well, I love Rachel Portman.I remember an experience that as soon as I heard a piece of music,I'm inebriated, and finally I found that this familiar music is right from Rachel Portman which is chosen to a compilation.I like her composing in the film Emma,Chocolat,Marvin's Room, etc. Her music is just the opposite of Eleni, which give me a warm feeling of love and goodliness. They belong to the season of spring and autumn. But I don't know why,it's much more difficult to get her music from the net than Eleni though a famous and pop composer she is. However,I appreciate both of them,Eleni Karaindrou and Rachel Portman:) |
