A caldo, dopo un colloquio appena avuto con Paolo Giulini in persona! Sito internet di riferimento: www.radiopopolare.it ; Radio Popolare - fa network con altre radio locali, le frequenze non sono sempre le stesse...hanno trasmesso la canzone con
frequenza. C'è una trasmissione il martedì sera (sul sito c'è scritto il giovedì, quella era la vecchia data, ma verrà aggiornato al più presto) dalle 21.00 alle 22.30, relativa a musica dall'est Europa, e non solo...
si può ascoltare anche via internet...
la storia di ''Bum Bum Boje'':
Riguarda un cugino musicista di Paolo Giulini, l'autore del testo. Questo cugino è recentemente scomparso prematuramente - neanche 40enne, se ho ben capito. E la canzone è in sua memoria. Per motivi miei personali sono molto sensibile a questi temi, tanto familiari, quanto slavi.. e mi sembra uno 'scherzo' (positivo) del destino...La storia da cui nacque Bum Bum Boje - il cui testo è in bulgaro - trae spunto da un episodio raccontatogli dalla madre di questo cugino... e se non si conosce questa storia, il testo rimane poetico sì, ma in parte criptico; quando suo cugino era piccolo, giocava con i sassi e li tirava in uno stagno... al rumore che il sassetto faceva cadendo nell'acqua, associato alla parola 'bum' (pronunciato sia bUm sia bAm) associò la parola 'io' ...e così venne fuori 'bum bum bo je' ''bum bum boje''...
Paolo Giulini mi ha promesso che a breve mi spedirà le parole e la traduzione... non mancherò di comunicarle a tutti! su sua autorizzazione, naturalmente, autorizzazione che mi ha già dato per telefono poc'anzi... era da anni che inseguivo il testo di questa canzone...da quando vidi 'Brucio nel vento' e mi innamorai del film... ora non mi sembra vero! :)
un grazie di cuore a Paolo Giulini e a 'Notizie Est' tramite i quali mi sono potuto mettere in contatto con P.G. e realizzare (fra poco) un sogno!

I talked with Paolo Giulini, the author of the lyrics of the song, no more than half an hour ago... :) If you can speak Italian and want to listen to some eastern european (and more) song go to www.radiopopolare.it every tuesday from 21 to 22.30...they used to broadcast this song quite often!
The story he used for this song was told him by his beloved cousin's mother... the song is dedicated to him, who alas prematurely died a few years ago, he was approx. 40 years old... when this cousin of his was a child, he used to go and play near a pond, and used to throw little stones into it...as many children do... he associated the sound 'bum bum' / 'bam bam' the stones made with the word 'I' which In Bulgar must be - I think - similar to 'je' ....so it came to Paolo's mind the title 'bum bum boje' when he listend to his aunt's story about his beloved son (Paolo's cousin).... the text must be really poetic, but it would look rather cryptic without knowing something of the story that gave life to it... thus, he dedicated the song to his cousin. Paolo G. told me he would soon send me the complete text + translation... I am looking forward to receiving it, and I will post it here... of course, for all those who are concerned... I am personally very sensitive when death, mother, cousins and southern slavic roots are concerned...I'd personally like to dedicate this day to my both beloved mother Licia and my cousin Paola...who died some years ago...
I fell in love with this song a few years ago when I saw the film 'Brucio nel vento' by Soldini and fell in love with the film as well ...and have had the personal dream to get the lyrics... thanks to Paolo G. for his friendship!
